SELLEYS Wood Putty – Durable Filler for Timber Repairs and Surface Finishing (500g)

Selleys Wood Putty is a fast drying, ready-mixed interior wood filler. It is superior to solvent-based plastic woods, is easy to use and shrinkage is minimal. Drying time is approximately 30 minutes in thin layers. It can be painted, stained, or varnished without priming and has an excellent and durability resulting in a high quality finish.

2. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dirt, grease and loose material.

Application

Mix well before use to ensure a smooth even consistency. Apply with a filling knife or scraper. Slightly overfill the surfaces to allow for sanding back. A wet filling knife will aid in final smoothing. The filled surface has to be dry before sanding, staining or painting. For holes deeper than 6mm, fill in layers allowing each layer to dry before continuing. Always remember to replace the lid firmly when the product is not in use.

Selleys Wood Putty dries to a natural pine or teak colour and it can be painted without priming. If staining, varnishing or finishing wood to other than natural pine or teak, mix stain or paint colorant into the filler to match the wood colour. Test your colour and remember to allow Selleys Wood Putty to dry before checking the colour.

Note: Selleys Wood Putty is not designed for use in wet areas or for gaps that are subject to structural movement. For such application, use acrylic sealants.
